Privacy Policy
1. Data protection at a glance
General information
The following information provides a simple overview of what happens to your personal data when you visit this website. Personal data is all data with which you can be personally identified. Detailed information on the subject of data protection can be found in our data protection declaration below.
Data collection on this website
Who is responsible for data collection on this website?
Data processing on this website is carried out by the website operator. Their contact details can be found in the section "Note on the responsible body" in this privacy policy.
How we collect your data
On the one hand, your data is collected when you provide it to us. This can be, for example, data that you enter in a contact form.
Other data is collected automatically or with your consent by our IT systems when you visit the website. This is primarily technical data (e.g. internet browser, operating system or time of the page view, IP address). Some of this data is collected automatically as soon as you enter this website, partly through the services described below.
What do we use your data for?
Some of the data is collected in order to ensure the error-free provision of the website and its security. Other data may be used to analyse your user behaviour (if applicable tools are used and you have consented).
What rights do you have with regard to your data?
You have the right to receive information free of charge at any time about the origin, recipient and purpose of your stored personal data. You also have the right to request the correction or deletion of this data. If you have given your consent for data processing, you can revoke this consent at any time for the future. In addition, you have the right, under certain circumstances, to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data. Furthermore, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority.
You can contact us at any time regarding this and other questions on the subject of data protection.
2. Hosting and Content Delivery Network (CDN)
We host the content of our website and utilize Content Delivery Networks for security and performance. This involves the following providers:
External Hosting
This website is hosted externally. The personal data that is collected on this website (e.g., IP addresses in server logs, contact requests, meta and communication data, contract data, contact data, names, website accesses) is stored on the servers of the hoster(s). This data generated via the website may first pass through security and delivery networks as described below before reaching the hoster's servers.
The external hosting is carried out for the purpose of fulfilling the contract with our potential and existing customers (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR) and in the interest of a secure, fast and efficient provision of our online offering by a professional provider (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR). If a corresponding consent has been requested, the processing is carried out exclusively on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR and § 25 para. 1 TTDSG, insofar as the consent authorises the storage of cookies or access to information in the user's end device (e.g. device fingerprinting) in the sense of the TTDSG. Consent can be revoked at any time.
Our host(s) will only process your data to the extent that this is necessary for the fulfilment of its performance obligations and follow our instructions with regard to this data. We have concluded a Data Processing Agreement (DPA) with our hosting provider(s).
[Optional: Add name and location of your specific hosting provider if desired/required]
Cloudflare
We use the service Cloudflare from Cloudflare, Inc. (101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA). Cloudflare provides a globally distributed content delivery network with DNS, acts as a reverse proxy, and offers network security services (like DDoS protection and Web Application Firewall). This serves to increase the security, performance, and availability of our website.
When you access our website, your request is routed through Cloudflare's servers. Cloudflare processes your IP address and potentially other technical data (like browser type, operating system, referring URLs, date and time of access) to provide these services. This data is used for security analysis and performance optimization.
The use of Cloudflare is based on our legitimate interest in a secure, fast, and reliable provision of our online offering (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR). Cloudflare may store or access information on your device (e.g., security cookies) if this is strictly necessary for the security functions provided (§ 25 para. 2 TTDSG).
Cloudflare acts as a data processor for us in providing these services. We have concluded a Data Processing Agreement (DPA) with Cloudflare in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR.
Data processing may occur outside the European Union, particularly in the USA. Cloudflare, Inc. is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (DPF), which ensures an adequate level of data protection for transfers of personal data from the EU to certified US companies. Further information can be found in Cloudflare's privacy policy: https://www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy/ and regarding their DPF certification: [Link to Cloudflare DPF Status] .
Other Content Delivery Networks (unpkg, jsDelivr)
To improve the loading speed of our website, we utilize the Content Delivery Networks (CDN) jsDelivr and unpkg. These services allow us to deliver static files, such as JavaScript libraries, faster by using servers geographically close to the user.
When you access a page on our website that includes resources from these CDNs, your browser establishes a direct connection to the CDN provider's servers. During this process, your IP address and technical details about your browser are transmitted to the CDN provider.
The use of these CDNs is based on our legitimate interest in an efficient, secure, and fast delivery of our website content (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR). Accessing information (the resources) via the CDN is typically strictly necessary for the requested service (displaying the website correctly) according to § 25 para. 2 TTDSG, provided the loaded scripts themselves are essential for website functionality.
Data processing by these CDNs may occur on servers worldwide, including outside the European Union (e.g., in the USA). For these free, public CDNs, obtaining specific DPAs or relying on adequacy decisions like the DPF might not be directly applicable to the CDN service itself, although underlying infrastructure providers may have such safeguards. We use these services based on our legitimate interest in efficient website delivery, ensuring transparency about the process.
Further information can be found in the privacy policies of the providers:

If you have consented to data processing, we process your personal data on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR or Art. 9 para. 2 lit. a GDPR, provided that special categories of data are processed in accordance with Art. 9 para. 1 GDPR. The legal bases relevant in each individual case are provided in the following paragraphs of this privacy policy.
Recipients of personal data
We work with various external organisations as part of our business activities. In some cases, it is also necessary to transfer personal data to these external bodies. These may include hosting providers, security service providers (e.g., Cloudflare), content delivery networks (e.g., unpkg, jsDelivr), providers of analysis tools or plugins, payment service providers, IT service providers, or communication partners. We only pass on personal data to external organisations if this is necessary in the context of contract fulfilment, if we are legally obliged to do so (e.g. transfer of data to tax authorities), if we have a legitimate interest in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR in the transfer, or if another legal basis permits the transfer of data. When using processors (Auftragsverarbeiter), we only pass on our customers' personal data on the basis of a valid contract for data processing (Art. 28 GDPR). In the case of joint processing, a contract is concluded for joint processing (Art. 26 GDPR).
Information on data transfer to the USA and other third countries
Among other things, we use tools from companies based in the USA or other third countries that are not secure under data protection law. When these tools are active, your personal data (e.g., IP address, usage behaviour) may be transferred to these third countries and processed there. We would like to point out that an adequate level of data protection comparable to that in the EU cannot be guaranteed in these countries.
For transfers to the USA, an adequate level of protection can be ensured if the recipient is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (DPF). We indicate in this privacy policy which providers are DPF certified. In other cases, transfers are based on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) of the EU Commission or, in exceptional cases, on your explicit consent (Art. 49 para. 1 lit. a GDPR).
Revocation of your consent to data processing
Many data processing operations are only possible with your express consent. You can revoke any consent you have already given at any time. The legality of the data processing carried out until the revocation remains unaffected by the revocation.

IF DATA PROCESSING IS BASED ON ART. 6 ABS. 1 LIT. E OR F GDPR, YOU HAVE THE RIGHT AT ANY TIME FOR REASONS ARISING FROM YOUR PARTICULAR SITUATION TO OBJECT TO THE PROCESSING OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA; THIS ALSO APPLIES TO PROFILING BASED ON THESE PROVISIONS. THE RESPECTIVE LEGAL BASIS ON WHICH PROCESSING IS BASED IS PROVIDED IN THIS PRIVACY STATEMENT. IF YOU OBJECT, WE WILL NO LONGER PROCESS YOUR PERSONAL DATA CONCERNED, UNLESS WE CAN PROVE COMPULSORY PROTECTIVE REASONS FOR THE PROCESSING THAT OUTWEIGH YOUR INTERESTS, RIGHTS AND FREEDOMS OR THAT THE PROCESSING SERVES TO ASSERT, EXERCISE OR DEFEND LEGAL CLAIMS (OBJECTION PURSUANT TO ART. 21 ABS. 1 GDPR).
IF YOUR PERSONAL DATA IS PROCESSED FOR THE PURPOSE OF DIRECT MARKETING, YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO OBJECT AT ANY TIME TO THE PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA CONCERNING YOU FOR THE PURPOSE OF SUCH ADVERTISING; THIS ALSO APPLIES TO PROFILING TO THE EXTENT THAT IT IS RELATED TO SUCH DIRECT ADVERTISING. IF YOU OBJECT, YOUR PERSONAL DATA WILL SUBSEQUENTLY NO LONGER BE USED FOR THE PURPOSE OF DIRECT MARKETING (OBJECTION PURSUANT TO ART. 21 ABS. 2 GDPR).
Right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority
In the event of violations of the GDPR, data subjects have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the Member State of their habitual residence, place of work or place of the alleged infringement. The right of appeal is without prejudice to any other administrative or judicial remedy.

Right to data portability
You have the right to have data that we process automatically on the basis of your consent or in fulfilment of a contract handed over to yourself or to a third party in a commonly used, machine-readable format. If you request the direct transfer of the data to another controller, this will only be done insofar as it is technically feasible.
Information, rectification and erasure
Within the framework of the applicable legal provisions, you have the right at any time to information free of charge about your stored personal data, its origin and recipients and the purpose of the data processing and, if applicable, a right to rectification or erasure of this data. For this and other questions on the subject of personal data, you can contact us at any time.
Right to restriction of processing
You have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data. You can contact us at any time to do this. The right to restriction of processing exists in the following cases:
- If you dispute the accuracy of your personal data stored by us, we usually need time to verify this. For the duration of the review, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data.
- If the processing of your personal data was/is carried out unlawfully, you may request the restriction of the processing of your personal data instead of erasure.
- If we no longer need your personal data, but you need it for the exercise, defence or assertion of legal claims, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data instead of erasure.
- If you have lodged an objection pursuant to Art. 21 para. 1 GDPR, a balance must be struck between your interests and ours. As long as it is not yet clear whose interests prevail, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data.
If you have restricted the processing of your personal data, this data may not be processed - apart from its storage - without your consent or for the assertion, exercise or defence of legal claims or for the protection of the rights of another natural or legal person or for reasons of important public interest of the European Union or of a Member State.
SSL or TLS encryption
This site uses SSL or TLS encryption for security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as orders or enquiries that you send to us as the site operator. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the fact that the address line of the browser changes from "http://" to "https://" and by the lock symbol in your browser line.
If SSL or TLS encryption is activated, the data you send to us cannot usually be read by third parties during transmission (end-to-end encryption to our server/proxy). Note that services like Cloudflare may decrypt traffic for inspection if certain security features are active, based on the DPA.
4. Plugins and tools
Google Fonts (External Loading)
This site uses so-called Google Fonts for the uniform display of fonts. These fonts are provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. When you call up a page, your browser loads the required fonts directly from Google servers into your browser cache in order to display texts and fonts correctly. For this purpose, your browser must establish a connection to Google's servers. This informs Google that our website was accessed via your IP address. According to Google, the loaded fonts are cached by the browser and no cookies are set.
The use of Google Fonts is based on our legitimate interest in a uniform and appealing presentation of our online offers (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR). If consent was requested for the storage of cookies or access to information on your device (e.g. via device fingerprinting) in accordance with § 25 para. 1 TTDSG, the processing is also based on this consent; the consent can be revoked at any time.
Data transfer to the USA may occur. Google's parent company, Google LLC, is based in the USA (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA). Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (DPF), which ensures compliance with European data protection standards for data processing in the USA.
Further information on Google Fonts can be found at https://developers.google.com/fonts/faq and in Google's privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en. Information on Google's DPF certification can be found here: [Link to Google DPF Status].
